About the Program

The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is an undergraduate program that equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to become professional physiotherapists, combining theoretical learning with extensive practical training. The BPT course focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of physical disabilities and movement disorders. 

At PMRIMS, the BPT program is delivered by qualified faculty and supported by state-of-the-art clinical infrastructure, including direct access to the 1,120-bedded Dr. Patnam Mahender Reddy General Hospital — providing students with unparalleled real-world clinical exposure from the very beginning of their course.

Course Duration

The Bachelor of Physiotherapy programme lasts 4.5 years, including 4 years of academic study and a 6-month internship. 

Eligibility

Students with at least 45% marks in Class 12 (40% for reserved categories) with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry from a recognised board are eligible for the BPT programme.

Curriculum Highlights

The BPT curriculum at PMRIMS is structured to provide students with a strong foundation in medical sciences alongside specialized physiotherapy training. The course syllabus includes Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Therapy, Electrotherapy, Pathology, and Pharmacology, along with practical and clinical training.
