Radiology

The Department of Radiodiagnosis at PMRIMS is one of the institution’s premier departments and has
rapidly evolved into one of the most advanced imaging centers in the state. It provides a wide array of
diagnostic services using diverse imaging modalities, supports academic endeavors through publications
and presentations at scientific conferences, and conducts research-based studies. The department also
organizes conferences and workshops for educational development, and actively participates in patient
care through both inpatient and outpatient interventional procedures and intensive care support.
The department is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including 3 ultrasound machines
featuring the latest advances such as ultrasound elastography, musculoskeletal ultrasound with linear and
hockey stick probes, and 3D/4D transabdominal and transvaginal scans; 5 fixed and 5 bedside X-ray
machines (including a fluoroscopy machine) supported by digital radiography; a volume computed
tomography system; and a 1.5 Tesla MRI machine. The adoption of digital radiography has further
enhanced the quality of care.
The department is committed to serving underserved populations by offering radiological investigations at
subsidized costs.
